Tahlia’s story

Tahlia* is a single mum with two children: one in school and one 18 months old. She was living in Queensland with a partner but had to escape when her partner became abusive. She brought her children to the ACT where they could stay with friends and be safe.

But without support, Tahlia and her children were left all sharing a bed at her friend’s home. She had no stability for herself or her children, and could not afford to rent a property in the mainstream rental market given the ACT’s high prices.

Then Tahlia found a Rentwell property on Allhomes and came along to an open home for an affordable property that could be a home for her family.

She is now settled in and is starting to rebuild her life.
